Hotel Comster Mtwapa started as a family home. It still mostly is. Three rooms were finished in 2019, the pool the year after, and we've been opening the gate to guests ever since.
We're not a resort and we're not a rental. The kitchen is yours; the staff are here when you want them. Most guests find that's the right amount of help.

Chai is on by seven. Breakfast laid out by the pool. After that, the day belongs to you.
A staff who lives here
People you'll see again — not a rotating front desk. They know the coast and they know which rooms catch the breeze.
No upsells
What's on the rate is what's in the room. We don't believe in resort fees.
Long stays welcome
A week, a fortnight, a month — we keep the kitchen stocked and the linen fresh.
